ITLA Youth

Our ITLA Youth participate in shows throughout the country – from the Northeast to Idaho, from Ohio to Texas, and everywhere in between. Youth showcase their cattle and compete in showmanship, while still managing to have some fun with friends. We have trivia contests, arts & crafts and photography contests, speech and leadership opportunities, social events, and more.

The John Hodges Memorial Youth Scholarship is funded by the Hodges Family and donations to honor deserving youth. The Scholarship is operated through the ITLA and awarded during the Convention and Championship Show each year in honor of one of the ITLA’s greatest heroes. John and Sheila Hodges operated J/S Longhorns for many years dedicated themselves to the Affiliates, Members, and activities within the ITLA. John Hodges served on the ITLA Board for many years, served multiple terms as President of the ITLA, and gave the members a lasting gift by constructing the ITLA Headquarters at his cost.
